Mold Maker / Tool Maker

About the role The Mold Maker builds and assembles large plastic injection molds, interprets CAD design information, and operates an overhead crane. The role requires hands-on knowledge of hydraulics, manifolds, welding, and mold spotting, along with strong problem-solving skills and accountability in a fast-paced environment.  

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and assemble large plastic injection molds.
  • Operate overhead crane.
  • Interpret CAD design information relative to build activity. NX Experience preferred.
  • Complete understanding of hydraulics, manifolds, welding, spotting.
  • Comfortable working in a paperless environmnet.
  • Ability to prioritize operations in a multi-tasking environment
  Qualifications & Experience
  • Ability to work well with both others and independently.
  • Time management and communication skills.
  • Results oriented environment and ability to take ownership and responsibility for their work.
  • Must possess good problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Comfortable working in an ever-changing technology driven environment.

CNC Machinist

  • Setting up jobs using an overhead crane and FCS.
  • Loading and executing CNC programs.
  • Working on multiple machines.
  • Work with state of the art 3, 4, 5, & 6 axis high speed mills.
  • Working in a tight tolerance/high quality environment.

Maintenance Technician

About the role
Perform repairs on machine breakdowns, regular preventative and predictive maintenance activities on equipment and buildings as per company maintenance needs and health and safety policies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Completion of maintenance work orders.
  • Perform Preventative Maintenance activities.
  • Troubleshoot CNC equipment.
  • Basic fabrication and welding.
  • Housekeeping of work areas.
  • Rigging of equipment.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Electrical or millwright background preferred
  • Control experience is an asset
  • Able to work independently
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety Regulations and Requirements required.
  • Able to follow directions and blueprints to assist in machine repair.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbally and written
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Must comply with all Health & Safety policies throughout facility.

Senior Mold Designer

Key Responsibilities
  • Designing molds according to customer requirements, specifications, and industry-accepted guidelines.
  • The accurate recording of design information relative to design and build activity of molds.
  • The maintaining of up-to-date job history files.
  • In depth knowledge of Design for Injection Molded Plastics Technology.
  • Designing of structural foam, gas assist, multi-shot, thermoset and compression molds.
  • Efficient capabilities in surface creation and part development.
  • Ability to create feasibilities to present solutions.
  • Paying attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
  • Conduct Engineering Work Order Design Changes.
  • Design highly complex components, resolving technical design conflicts.
  • Mentor and coach other designers.
  • Verify quality to design team output.
  • Lead design reviews.
  • Follow OEM corporate standards and policies.
  • Advise supervises of project status, timing, resource availability and capability.
  • Assist in establishing design completion dates and timelines.
Qualifications & Experience
  • 10+ years of Mold design experience required
  • 5 - 8 years experience with Unigraphics/NX
  • Knowledge of Cimatron & Siemens NX Design software an asset
  • Ability to work well with both others and independently.
  • Time management and communication skills.
  • Results oriented environment and ability to take ownership and responsibility for their work.
  • Must possess good problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Comfortable working in an ever-changing technology driven environment.
  • Experience in plastic injection molds.
  • This opportunity is in Windsor, Ontario, Canada.
